My experience with web site design and development began in 1994. As a web site contractor and online business employee since that time, I have interacted with clients to identify specific needs and wants; conceptualize various designs, build prototypes, refine, obtain consensus and produce the desired product. I have worked successfully in a team environment to maintain a very large corporate web site. I have proven ability to work independently, set specific goals and to attend to details. Responsible for all aspects of design and production of client web sites, including graphics, content and HTML. Create and present alternative design prototypes; collaborate with the client in selecting and refining product. Outline the details of specific projects and set production timetables. Food.Com is a very large nationwide meal ordering web site My team was responsible for preparing graphics and content relating to individual restaurants. The team also checks content for quality control proposes. Images and other content are then uploaded to the web site
Boatparts.Com, June 2000 to present-Vice President-Development-Work on site currently suspended. Managed development of the web's largest e-commerce site for recreational marine engine parts. In charge of loading product information and images for 2,000 items to site. Acting largely on my own initiative, I met with prospective vendors; directed work on site by others, including graphics team, data extractor and database programmers; prepared reports to owners; developed an efficient method of extracting table data from Pagemaker files and converting into HTML application charts with links to individual items.
