PROFILE:

My experience with web site design and development began in 1994. As a web site contractor and online business employee since that time, I have interacted with clients to identify specific needs and wants; conceptualize various designs, build prototypes, refine, obtain consensus and produce the desired product. I have worked successfully in a team environment to maintain a very large corporate web site. I have proven ability to work independently, set specific goals and to attend to details. I have exceptional communication skills, including excellent public speaking abilities. I excel at working effectively with a broad variety of people. My work as a video producer places me in charge of a team of top-level video professionals; I handle business and technical decisions for that team.
For many years I worked in antique boat restoration. This work is extremely detail-oriented, carries a high degree of responsibility and is undertaken with minimal supervision.

Comprehensive experience and training in video and web site development, including design and production. Proficient in a wide range of professional level web building tools. EXPERIENCE:

Criterion Web Services, Seattle, WA 1994-Present. Video Production and Web site Developer. Responsible for all aspects of design and production of client web sites, including graphics, content and HTML. Work extensively with clients to identify and qualify design concepts, message, and desired image to project; develop and edit site content. Create and present alternative design prototypes; collaborate with the client in selecting and refining product. Outline the details of specific projects and set production timetables. Handle all points in complete site development, including writing content, designing graphics, altering scripts, testing, troubleshooting and putting into production. An important specialization is streaming audio and video. Shot and edited content for broadcast on the City of Seattle television station. Ford Boat Works, October 2003 to July 2004. Restoration of classic cruiser. The boat had been abandoned out for about two years; I took it to show condition. I had responsibility for overall seaworthiness and appearance of vessel. This work was accomplished without direct supervision.

Food.Com, Seattle, WA October 1999 to June 2000-Graphics and Content Team. Food.Com is a very large nationwide meal ordering web site My team was responsible for preparing graphics and content relating to individual restaurants. The team also checks content for quality control proposes. Images and other content are then uploaded to the web site

Boatparts.Com, June 2000 to present-Vice President-Development-Work on site currently suspended. Managed development of the web's largest e-commerce site for recreational marine engine parts. In charge of loading product information and images for 2,000 items to site. Acting largely on my own initiative, I met with prospective vendors; directed work on site by others, including graphics team, data extractor and database programmers; prepared reports to owners; developed an efficient method of extracting table data from Pagemaker files and converting into HTML application charts with links to individual items.

Ford Boatworks, Seattle, WA 1974-1999-Owner of antique speedboat restoration service. Handle all aspects of this specialty boat restoration business. Provide highly skilled, quality craftsmanship in restoring antique and classic speedboats. Negotiate services with a wide variety of clients. Manage the various parts of the operation, including client relations, advertising, marketing, business development, accounting and finance. AVOCATIONAL INTERESTS: Antique and Classic Boat Society Co-founder. Have served as president and board member of this 25 year old organization. Coordinated all aspects of a boat show, including recruiting volunteers, organizing and directing activities and marketing the program. This event had the highest attendance in chapter history. I was central to the founding and development of the Center for Wooden Boats, a traditional wooden boat museum at the south end of Lake Union.
